My Knight is about to turn 43. I have been practicing with Duke Inman MacMoore who is 60 (And still hits hard and mo...

The SCA will have to adapt. Just like every other entity. I really think the Backyard BBQs w/ fighting is what is going to happen in the future. SCA inc will cease to exist eventually in this sue happy world. Someone will get hurt or drink some bad water and the SCA will go bye bye. It will get more...

Sirs JP and Morgan, I have a theory I would like to bounce off you. Our Kingdom's gradual embrace of stabbing tips on single handled weapons is, IMO due to the gradual decline in power of the "Backyard" gang, and the rise of the new non back yard types. I may be high, but i am thinking th...

Wow ... just wow. Just got back from estrella and id have to say it was some of the best and cleanest fighting ive ever seen in melee combat in the SCA. Re: English Armour

Ok, I changed my mind and i am wondering what type of armor a 12th century English Knight would use. From what i have seen i presume it to be a leather gambeson followed by chainmail and then a tabard. Please correct me if i am wrong and what type of helmet did they use. Kingdom of heaven ... thats...
