Today I began reaching my goals. Over the course of the afternoon and evening I worked my upper body and arms on the home gym. Tomorrow is legs and cardio. Ratty busted her ass to help me build the gym and is totally supportive of my goals. Not to mention she can outwalk me on the treadmill without ...

When I use these gauntlets the tip of my thumb gets tucked under the fingerplates and it's completely covered by leather. I've never been the least hurt in these and I use them for my saber and my polearms and spear.

Ya know, I've had SCA waterbearers walk right past me with water when I was in a bad way. I'm not trying to start a big row or anything, if nothing else just re-enforce how cool our wenches are that way. They take their duties as seriously as we take ours and work throughout the year trying to co-or...

I dunno about the thickness but the diameter was about an inch or so. I could fit it through my ear so it couldnt be much bigger than that. I flattened the ends and shaped the middle with a hammer to fit my own grip. It works real well so far.

I've come to the realization that this guy depends on two cliche's to make his business work. The first being there is no such thing as bad publicity and the second being there's a sucker born every minute. The one cool thing is I dont think I've ever run across a single person in a suit of this crap.

Mord do you need a handle for your shield? I made mine out of a length of copper pipe that I put on the anvil and formed to fit my hand comfortably. It's not hard to do at all.
Lemme know if you need a hand.

This is some of the most beautiful armor you'll find using the lamellar plates you're gonna get. I'd say take inspiration from this and see how Matty did his. Even if you dont achieve the same quality he did your kit will end up way better for the attempt, ya know?

I tend to take legs as deaths as well, I figure if it was a wound that would send me to my knees it would pretty much preclude me fighting at that point anyway. So not an instant death, but a debilitating wound.
