Yup. Maruk is THE man when it comes to pottery. He's the best I've ever seen. The few pottery things I ever did were done in his studio with him walking me through them and because of his help they turned out ok. He's that good .

One of our guys lives on the South Side and makes amphorae. Freakin huge. You arent gonna pay $50 for a plain one. There's more than that in the clay alone, not to mention the time spent making it and firing it. If you want I can put you in touch with him but I think you're gonna need to spend a lot...

Why bother taking a leg if you're just gonna give it right back? I mean, not like it isnt fun hitting people and all but if you're fighting to win it's silly. As for fighting from your knees I generally dont either. It's dumb and it hurts getting back up. I just give them the fight if they get my le...

I second the draw knife thing. I use a bowyers knife which has the straight across handles. It allows me to fine tune the grip to just the way I like it. And there's something soothing about working with it. Kinda cool.

It wasnt an intentional C block. It seems that the young lady in question was more interested in getting squidgey with Bytor than she as in showing Mogy her boobs. So Mogy threw her out of his camp. Pretty funny actually. Unless you were Bytor. Thing is, Bytor more than made up for it in the course ...

If you want a comfy fit you can probably do it that way. If you want defined muscles you can shape them in a dishing stump. I'd recommend you soak the leather in room temp water until the bubbles stop. I'd also recommend using sole leather. Should work ok.
