I wanted to toss out this question to you guys fighting with Clay's gauntlets if I may. Do many/any of you use his finger gauntlets with one handed weapons often so to avoid having a basket/cup hilt? If so, how well do you like it, any concerns or what have you? I'm planning to order a pair this wi...

Thanks mate! I've got some pitch coming from jas townsend so and so. That should be here this week coming up. I also have some thin metal to start working on. I figure I can draw the stuff, making it happen in metal wont necessarioy be easy but there's no reason I shouldnt be able to learn it. I can...

I found goop!
I found goop! The roof tar in a can stuff from the hardware store. Seems kinda thin though, what should I mix in it to get the pitch texture? I've determined that come hell or high water I'm gonna teach myself this repousse' crap. (Damn you Ugo it's your fault!)

Mine is badass! It cut this 16ga mild like butter and left a nice edge too. I made a thumb tip to go over my thumb I got from Clay. I cant tell you how much it helped being able to cut metal easy and quick with no guessing like with the jigsaw. Time to make more metal stuff! What's a good newb proje...

As a group we have raised our fighting and our armor to become one of the most effective deadly units on the field at Pennsic or any other event we happen to be attending. We dont play the game by your spirit, we play it by ours. like us or not that's just the way it is. This statement is no way mea...

One of my dog-brothers has a cousin with a metal shop. He had the plates cut out on a laser for me. All I had to do was lace it together. As for metal plates, There's a guy named Felix that posts on here who has been selling metal versions of the small plastic lamellar plates. My buddy Jason has a s...

It takes a blow real well. This is the most armor I've ever worn in my life and I gotta say it took some getting used to, but as I get older and ouchier it's a gooooood thing And I noticed that I stand out when I'm shiny. And that makes a fat man happy. People on the battlefield come to me, I dont h...

Ah yes, the early SCA, before religion was tossed aside and replaced with ninja's, vampires, Tuchux and pirates... Though they did have elves Ah yes, the early days, before the freon tanks were replaced by sticks up the asses of several notables. I dont understand why you must continually be disres...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v95/ratangei/tarkhanNme.jpg I'm on the right with the spear. My lamellar is aluminum and flat. It gets bent if I get hit hard enough, but the cool thing is 5 minutes with a rubber mallet down in the shop and it's straight as an arrow and good as new. I made this af...

Nah B I dont get pissed off at the archive stuff anymore. It's a pointless waste of time. Those that would actually fight with me over a slight generally dont offer slights. And those that do run like frenchmen when the offer is made. no big deal. And for the record I dont wear a cop under my shield...
