If Adam is too busy or not making them I recommend Beathen at armor and castings .com. He made mine and I love them. Inexpensive, they fit perfectly and for the money they're well made.

Since we moved to Michigan I actually have an entire room for a workshop. Two benches, a bench vise, room for my stakes and my dishing stump, shelves, and a door to close! And I have a weight room set up too! Yay! I did put the treadmill in the livingroom though, because treadmill without tv would su...

Tim does your punch have a guide that lest you poke the same hole every time? I know the whitney punch I used did. If so, set your guide to make the same hole every time and put your punch in a bench vise. Get a length of pipe that the handle of the punch fits into for leverage and go to town. It's ...

Actually the hardened leather should be fine there. I've been fighting in gauntlets made entirely from leather for a while now and no problems. So, I got the one formed and started on the other. I didnt even think it would be so hard to get them to match up. They're close but not perfect. That's gon...

So, Ratty pulled a fast one on me and got me the fingers for my finger gauntlets. So I got all athletic and cut out pieces for the back of the hand part. I've taken to using hobby shop laquer. I apply it with an airbrush and have been very happy with the results. It's good to make sure your surface is very clean before you apply coats but the extra effort seems to be worth it.

I use that shield with a center boss. I got mine from Jamie at By My Hand. I love the thing personally. It makes my holes real obvious and as a result I've had to be a quicker sharper fighter. But it's held up real well and it's light as a feather. If you dont mind working hard and it fits your port...

Here's the tricky part. No matter your intention, you still have to feel what hits you. I've come across people that are way honorable, yet require a heavier shot because of their armor. I dont have a problem with that. Same with my steel bazubands. I took out all padding from them so I wouldnt be u...

I make my cross hilts out of foam and tape them down with the vinyl electrical tape. They're there for looks anyway, and this way when I punch someone in the chops I'm not running the risk of putting a piece of metal through their bargrill.

I noticed when I went from leather bazubands to steel that I wasnt feeling arms. So I took the padding out and now it's mostly ok. If you care about your honor and calibration then you pay closer attention. If you dont care, you just let it go. It's up to the individual really.
