The helm is mild steel. I don't usually buy stainless. I live in Nevada and it's VERY dry so no real need for stainless.

I haven't met Torvaldr but I can vouch for his craftsmenship and bidnez acumen. I've seen the bazubands he made for DanNV and I can say his workmanship is excellent. He also delivered ontime and his communication with Dan was outstanding the whole course of the comission. Top notch products.
