Edward, Why do you want to point the gambeson through the maille ??? I'm not exactly tracking with what you're trying to accomplish. I point to the gambeson to hold the arms up so they don't slip down as my arms move. Works pretty well actually! I still want to point to the gambeson when there's Ma...

Damn good idea!!! I guess there was a good reason for using them in Period. :D

I'd like to eventually add a Mail Hauberk to my kit to get the correct look under my arm armour etc. How do you point to your gambeson through the Mail?? The obvious answer is thread i...

1> Do you buy your parts in bulk? As with anything, it's cheaper like this. If I front the money for 100 shafts I can get them for 80 cents, more like $1.50 each for just a dozen. Yes. I usually buy in bulk. I use FS Discount arrows for supplies, but I'm always looking for a better supplier. These g...

Have you considered Atlanta Cutlery?? They sell knife parts as well as knives, and they have some Bowie knife blades that are roughly the correct shape. If you ground down the top edge to make the right angle and shape for the top of the blade, then made a handle out of bone, or wood you would have ...
