Don't overlook women's stirrup pants and leggings as an alternative. Some hosen in period were made with straps across the instep rather than feet. Stirrup pants and leggings approximate the look of hosen in that they are thick, and don't hug the leg as tightly as "tights" do. Someone will probably ...

Pennsic FEH! Image I haven't even been able to afford West Kingdom events this year and my interest level is WAY down. Just can't afford it. Maybe next year if the VA comes through with a disability.

Pointing armour to foundation garment

Would it necessarily have to be really tight at the hips? Anybody done this and can give me some pointers, or ...

Shoe Leather

Those of you who make shoes......what weight/tan method is best for shoes? The suppleness and softness of the leather is as much a function of tanning as it is weight. I've encountered some light weight leather that is fairly stiff due to the tan. So, what do you use? What do you recommend? --------...

I need some help/advice padding a Pembridge helm I got from Boldo. When I did my bas I made a skullcap out of foam that fit my head, then built up layers until it fit the helm too.
