This is a straight cut slitting shear. it does not like going around corbners much and is completely incapable of inside curves. The only reall application in armouring would be to slit the sheetmetal into more convenient sizes so that you could work it with a set of powershears or throatless shear....

If you mean the kind of protection in general then the Normans are wearing them (maille) in a rather well known tapestry. If you mean as a plate thing, there are articluating bevors for some italian salets that work like a falling boufe. If you mean the thing that we call a fallinge boufe then Gundo...

Having gained your Baronial title upon the field that way, you are indeed entitled to display it on your helm.

Note: Your Barony is sadly an exception and not the rule. Everyone else just has to lump it.
Anyway, I didn't write the rules.

Displays of rank upon the field are limited to rank won upon the field. Or something like that. basically if you want to wear a crown on your helm then you have had to earn it on the field (prowess). This means a landed or court Baron may not wear a coronet on their fighting helm but a Duke or Count...

It is way to expensive at that price. A fire is useful, though that particular kind of portable forge is about the least useful kind to have as a beginner (at hotwork).
