D. Sebastian, I wanted pictures of you with the horses. Too bad, so sad.

Weather permitting, it looks like we'll be bringing all three of them down to the field briefly so people can meet them.

Who is letting you use sabers on their horses? Sounds like fun. My dressage teacher in NJ wants to get into it. But is their control really that awful that you have to worry about them hitting the horse in the eye? If so, I'd be worried about them hitting the horse elsewhere too. Maybe crinets and ...

Re: Arms and Armour of the Medieval Knight

I have to say that this book is expensive. i checked both Ebay and Half.com and they want a small fortune for it. I'm building my library of armoring books and I just have to get this. I saw it at the library and I was half tempted to steal it, but that would be selfish. Anyways I'll keep eyeing eb...

I tend to use Deus Vult. Classical Latiin for "God Wills It!" and the rallying cry of the first real crusade. Plus it has the added benefit of making the anti-christianity heralds and spectators wig out. Which I kind of enjoy. When I was younger and more foolish, I tried to get "Humil...

Heraldry - Words and phrases in an emblazon

I know the SCA allows words to be used as part of a coat of arms, as part of the device itself to be painted on a shield (rather than separately as part of the whole supporters, crest, etc. display). The requirement being that the words be from the SCA period. But at what point in medieval Europe di...
