My wife has chosen to use her prerogative and change her mind.

It is with much regret that I must say UN-SOLD and I’m sorry.

I would like to see a 15th cent plate tourney, the question is how many folks in the SCA have a nice rig, and plan to attent pennsic. This goes for all the other times/locations as well. As far as requirments go I think it would be wise to begin with fairly loose rules and move up from there. Let f...

Sir, you let us know if this comes to fruition. It seems there is a fair bit of support so I will do a bit of reasearch (and recruite some help) and make it happen. Details to follow. How about doing the 75 counted blows with pollaxe! I'ld love that. Some questions; Blows landed or thrown? Would we...

I'm feeling your pain; but I'm the other side of the 14th C. I was thinking of hosting a 15th C. Pas at the next Pennsic.

Well Jehan, your the wordsmith. I'll try and not be too bumbling.... But as the garter said "May evil come to those that think evil of it." Murdock, for bumbling you speak well. Many Gascons fought for England in the HYW. In fact I beileve it was an English possession at the time.

I got that but, I'm late 15thC. The only thing the English still hold in France is Calais, and only for a little while longer

The Gascons were good allies of the English in Acquitaine, sir. You need not feel badly. Yes, when my Great grand father fought for the English. Now (1485a.d.) France is mostly French and the English are paying the French to fight other English IN England. It's good to be in the late 15th C. As to ...

I have a question for the list. I have been asked to fight on the side of the English. This poses some problems for me. First, my persona is from Gascony, imagine the humiliation of fighting for the English. Second, and more to the point, my armour while full plate is late 15th C. So I am conflicted...

Thanks. I sewed the coat by hand so stitching the voiders on by hand didn't scare me much. It was the thought of doing it every time I did the wash. I'll probably start by whip-stitching then move to pointing.

I have the riveted mail for voiders. I have a linen arming coat, strongly built. Now how do I attach the voiders to the coat? I know H. Sallet Question

I'm having the bars pulled off my sallet and replaced with a hinged period visor. It is a German sallet with a rigid (non-articulated) tail.

My question is this:
For the visor should it have the peaked brow peice or simply the face plate? Was it a regional thing?

Thanks in advance.

Hey there, We talked at coronation about period underarmour. You can go with out the 'puff' at the top of the sleeve. In fact you may want to go with out the 'puff' if you plan on adding spaudlers to your kit. They may get in the way. When fitting, its important to have the motion of the shoulder jo...

No frills shipping to CA is ~$23, to Tazmania ~$71. Both without insurance

I wont say they are dent free but there are no MAJOR dents. Dings are what I would them.

So anyone for $250 USD?
