Got any other pics? Particularly next to a ruler? (e.g. empty, looking into the mouth?)
I'll bid $50 without seeing the pics and dimensions.

Yeah, Clang does them with the brows and everything.
Squire scorpius was getting rid of one recently. Just needs a good polish is all:
Roman Gallic helm
Not sure if he's still got it though.

Show me one example where a Knight in history picked up a bow during warfare? Are we only supposed to be using weapons documented as being weilded by knights now? If everything we do in combat has to be predecated on victorian ideals of knighthood, we'll have to start doing away more then just miss...

My suggestion would be to turn the quillons down more and do the filler in a harder material like aluminum or hard wood so it won't compress. It will also make the quillons more resiliant to blows. That space you've shown as foam now a hard substance could be painted matte black, and would not be ve...

With the tube, it's 4 or 5 oz. leather, usually chap leather (oil tanned) for the durability factor. Though I've done a few in vegetable tanned for color and finish preference. Without a tube, you need to use something pretty heavy for the sheat to maintain it's shape. If it should collapse on a gum...

I think Aaron schnatterly was making a few for a short time. Not sure if he's still taking comissions. I know Vitus does sword scabbards now and again, mostly daggers. I think Syr Justus de Tyre used to have a couple of images of how he did his. I have close-ups of the ones I've done that you can so...

A palm with an extra long needle is the best way, short of getting an industrial sewing machine (which would probably not be able to help you with the eyelets). http://www.mikesmarine.com/images/Product/large/35992.jpg A sewing palm that is used for leather working has a disk of metal with dimples f...

Are they gold or bronze? (I hope you're not offering to trade gold for pewter). If they're bronze, they will be much more durable then gold or silver. And you can plate bronze. Get a Caswell plating kit. If all you want is a silver look, buy one of their nickel plug-n-plate kits. For $40, you can pl...

I'd contemplated it for a short time, but figured the design I was contemplating would not be strong enough at the cross pieces or the finish to be durable enough for SCA combat. Like Raven, my idea was to sandwhich the shaved rattan of the hilt with some thick-a$$ed dyed leather to act like scales,...

I'm not saying that heavy people can't or shouldn't. Just that certain people that I know (that are more apple shaped then you or I, James) were disatisfied with how a cotehardie was loose in the chest and shoulders and tight to button popping in the belly. This is the goal of the men's cotehardie: ...

The comments about tighter clothing in the later half of the century brings up another good point, and that is that some of us eat a good deal more then our ancestors, and our waist lines aren't really optimal for wearing some of the stuff intended to accentuate a barrel chested look. If your dimens...

WTB: 20 ga stainless sheeting
Looking for a very corrosion resistant stainless (304?) in 20 ga. for some decorative metal (that I won't have to worry about polishing every week). I need about 15"x15" square sheet or pieces that I can atleast cut into 10 strips 15" long by 1.5" in width. PM me. Thanks! -Cian o...

I would sew it like you would a garment; around the hems/edges and at seams. The riveting you do at the plates will keep the fabric layers together in the body of the garment. I plan on doing something similar (but with a CoP) with a silk velvet and 2 to 3 layers of canvas. As someone else suggested...

Brother Amos the Pious is pretty evil with a crosshilt sword and a full gaunt. He gets on here occasionally and can probably give you some great tips on crosshilt fighting. I switch back and forth from half gaunt with aluminum cup hilt to crosshilt with a brass pommel. In practice and find that the ...

Okay. This is about as good as the bollock dagger is going to get. The butt plate and the finish is pretty good. No foam at this time, othertwise I'd have put a thrusty on it and duct taped the blade. The tapered grip feels good in the hand when wearing Sasuke's gaunts. This thing might see some use...

I knew someone was going to ask. The scabbard and chape were made of saddle skirting remnants (pretty thick. I'd guess around 13 or 14 oz leather). The Chape was 2 pieces cut and water formed, and glue hardened and sanded till smooth, then painted with brass paint. -Cian Here's the pattern I made to...
