I rarely have extra cash, but I do have some sale-able skills. I love bartering / trading. I'm Zubeydah. I make chocolate truffles/fudge/brownies, amber jewelry, and do beaded anklets and veils. I also make gift tags and other sorts of things for Royalty to attach to gifts, etc. I do mid-level scrib...

Here's my pics - I didn't get a lot, but got some. http://www.flickr.com/photos/43523113@N07/ For me, Battlemoor was about two things - the Ansteorran gift basket and family. Yeah, I know, not exactly the norm. My family lives in the Outlands, and I only get to see them about once a year. IT was fun...

A Curious Query: Ducal Prerogative
I'm curious about the history and tradition of Ducal Prerogative. [i.e., a Duke's right to enter a Crown List and drop out of the competition when they wish, despite not having been eliminated.] How did this tradition get started? Why do people think it is a good or bad or indifferent thing? I would...

Go to the local knight, and ask him, 'Good Sir, I know that was I able to step upon the field and exchange stout blows with you, that I would learn a great deal. Unfortunately, my surgeon demands that I not take up strenuous activity so soon after surgury. If your schedule would permit it, would you...

Amber
I have fun with making jewelry from amber. While it's inspired by period-ish pieces, I'm pretty sure it doesn't qualify for anything other than a 'creative' (stress on that word) anachronism. I have been working on items for the Battlemoor Gift Basket, which the Ansteorran Royals will be presenting ...

If you did not make them, do you know who did?
I'd like to credit the armorer appropriately.

Hey, Matt, I don't know if you recall, but I bought some spaulders from you a while back when you were doing a 'cleaning sale'. They are currently being polished and strapped, and are going to go into a gift basket for the Battlemoor event. I wanted to make sure it's okay to put your contact info / ...

Hope that helps,

I and my sister stayed at the Blue Mist hotel in the past It's not Motel6, but it's not bad, either. I think SCA folks pretty much had it full. I did have some problems with my reservation; I reserved a room with a kitchenette, but when I called to confirm my reservation a few weeks before the war, ...

Depending on how many characters you need, one of the Demo versions on the Scriptorium might work for you. (the full versions are not free) Dave Nalle has done some really beautiful fonts. The whole site is worth a look.
