Personally, I like the rough look from the scale. I wouldn't have noticed the rivet if it hadn't been pointed out (course, I'm not handling the helm either). I like the flare-out around the eyes. If you want to have some fun, you could make a brass or copper plate to fit inside the castle on the rig...
