If you want a removable medium for a handle - lead shot (bb sized) or sand would probably work well.

Never used the stuff other than for a truck bed. I know it's fairly heavy, so you may notice a weight difference.

I know when I worked in auto parts, we sold a lot of cans of the stuff. Somebody liked it.

Re: My scrap-built furnace

In Ceramics class - our instructor used Kaowool to turn a cardboard box into a gas-fired kiln. To prove it worked, he fired some of our cone 10 pots in it.

The box was warm to the touch, but only warm. Electric blankets get warmer than that box did.

Kaowool is excellent stuff.

Roper Whitney punches (new, in their various sizes) are all over Amazon also.

Sorry, no materials here.

My wife has a Paypal debit card so she has immediate access to her paypal balance (and can use it online). Doesn't help for the immediate, but might mitigate some things in the future?

You're a college student. Go to your Restaurant and Food administration department (or the student union building folks) and ask for the 55 gal food-grade barrels. They usually have to pay to have them hauled off (at least, at Washington State University, they did). You might be able to pick one or ...
