I have been looking for a Spartan Sword and on the net I can find two. well looking into the furture I would like to spend my hard earned money on something that would searve me in bolth purposes.

So SCA regulations I guess

But I'm not putting bars in the eye and mouth slots of the helm!

HECK yes I want to be a Spartan in Thermopylae. I had a history lesson on that battle at school that changed me Life.

Well why it cost so much probaly is because at least the real Spartan sheilds were Oak covered with bronze and then lether straps on the inside and the whole sheild was dished some the warrior could brace his shoulder aganst the wood and push aganst the enemy Persains :twisted:

Spartan Warrior

Have you guys seen patterns for a Spartan Helm or sheild?
Or have you seen anyone with a Spartan Helm or sheild?

Or any info on Spartan Armour would be greatly appriciated.

and at that thickness do I need to heat the metal before I can shape it?

starting out help

Ok I want to make armor, but I don't have anvil, no wealdng tools exept for a small common propane torch :wink: can I live without these items or do I need them and were do I get such items?
