I think your sword is too heavy. Either that or off balance. You're not swinging it, you're throwing it and hanging on once it gets moving. No articulation. Cut it down, take some tape off it. Lighten it or balance it to where it's supple in y9our hand and your fighting will greatly improve. So wil...

I think his problem is the mating of the gorget plate and the bevor itself. The shaping of the bevor is great, although it seems to be ever so slightly deeper than the original it is based on, the key however, to how the bevor sits is the lame that sets on the chest itself. . Exactly! The angle bet...

The only setback is that the bevor turned out to be too low, but I'll try to ask if another lame can be added to it, so it'll be turned into a drop down bevor. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v55/kaos333/armour/sallet/DSC_0074.jpg Looking good! Enrico I see a sliding rivet at the greave, demi greave joint that lets your foot twist side to side. Am I seeing this right? Anyone else see it? What you are seeing is the pin and key hole slot that connects the greave to the "demi greave". Once these are connected and the strap is buckl...

Reverand,

So what keeps there from being a gap between the top of the bevor and your visor when you lean you head back?

From the pic you posted there does not appear to be much over lap between the bevor top and the visor bottom. Generally this is the big issue with SCA sallets.
