Format being open weapons, double elimination, must beat your opponent twice in a row to win. Sir James Mostly correct. Must win by two. If you are down one, you will have to beat them THREE times in a row. Radu that sounds so cool... I might have to remember that if I ever do this again....

I have a crusader helmet laying around that I had made 2 years ago.

I vow by labor day to have a 12th century Hospitaler kit complete by labor day. I will not use any armour I currently have in usable condition to make this kit. I will do this for under $100.

thanks for the corrections on the Stonekeep stuff

I would assume he would sell the demi gauntlets as a pair as well so I would keep them at 17 dollars and the boss for the round or oval sheild.

trying to stay away from blatant modern stuff....

It is interesting how we all like to talk in a 1-10 scale. I think the real question however is how do we figure out where on our individual scales we meet for the Minimum acceptable and the maximum "allowable". For example I generally throw in practice at about a 5-6 on power of what I ca...

Exposed Plastic?

So, more and more Kingdoms are coming to the light and Outlawing exposed/blatantly modern plastic. Often in vague written language refering to cover ups are ok as long as it looks like an attempt at pre-17th century. We in Drachenwald have a similar rule but I was/am just wondering at the possible i...

Drachenwald has also traditionally (at least for the last 5 years) done a round robin tourney. As long as the finals are at least a best of 3 you satisfy the at least double loss convention. Although I haven't seen that in corpora either.

I think the only reason for the speed of limb removal is the different thought pattern. Standard SCA fighting: Kill/Defeat opponent that means trying to get to the head or body "Vitus System": defeating/winning is 2 limbs or 1 kill.... suddenly it is attractive to hunt the arm or leg with ...
