I am really diggin the possibilities of this stuff as travel armour, since we have a serious travel requirement here in Drachenwald. I also am wondering about the non covered stuff for hidden armour and really am waiting to see the quisses and knees combination for hidden armour. But I gotta say it....

Thank You Atlantia
I would like to thank the worthies in the Washington DC area who came out to the Storvik (I believe) practice on Monday night and were such wonderful hosts. I had a great time fighting despite the worst case of Jet Lag I have ever experienced. I know that you were all tired from just coming back fro...

Crown Tourney Winners
My daughter asked me this question over the weekend and I just didn't really have an answer for her. Her question: "Dad, how often does crown get won by a first time contender?" My answer was I didn't really know but I assumed not often. So I ask you the members who have been in the SCA a ...

Ingvarr, it just all melted away as I put on my armour. Everytime I stepped into the list it became just me and my opponent. I was very focused. The only time I lost my focus was when I slipped and fell on the wet ground. Anyway for anyone interested here is a link to some video of the tournement. F...

Sir Ivan was a most excellent and honorable opponent. I truly enjoyed myself and we all had a great day of good clean fighting. The weather was perfect for fighting. I have some video of the finals that I may see about posting soon. The best sound all day was the cork popping on the beer that Graf G...

It seems to me that the retirement is now in your past. Nothing much to do about it now. I don't know what your new job is, but I assume you're qualified to do the work. If that's the case, show up to work and do what needs to be done. The only concern there is that if you win crown, will you be ab...

Re: Excessive?
So what is SCA excessive? I have never been hit with what I consider excesive. ...... I have been hit were I saw sparks in my vision. I have been hit where my ribs hurt for a week after but.... I HAVE NEVER BEEN HIT EXCESSIVE in my opinion. I want to know I was hit. If I have had enough I will leav...

I unfortunately do not know this gentle (Matthias de Flintbeke ) or his lady. Hails from Aventiure, longish curly blond hair, slightly short-ish. He's the guy who brought the scale suit to Garden of Earthly Delights. Does that help? Now, if you could give me a hint on Lord Hakon. I guess he's from ...
