WTS - Bohemonds Off the Rack SCA Boot
Hi folks, selling a pair of size 11 Bohemond SCA boots. Have only worn them once to an event, and then around the house to stretch them out like they need to be. They are just not doing the trick for me. Great boots, just going to go in a different direction. PM me if interested. Off the Rack, they ...

Yep, for Great Sword and Polearm, I would say spear, but I rarely use that. Was taught to always learn to fight with both hands in the lead. Specially when you start out a fight, with one hand on top, in the middle of the fight, change up, and sometimes, actually seems to be a lot, , your opponent d...

Curious on that price also. I see what your charging for the scales in mild and stainless, but curious on the aluminum also. I will be getting a set of scales from someone here next week. But looking at Ringlord and also your scales Tangent. So just getting idea on price and how many I need for that...

All according to your pain threshhold, Olafr. Been wearing mine for about 2 months now. Will answer each one of your questions in order. 1. Currently, they were the only thing I wore, other than chain. Has been fine, just mild bruising from shots, but nothing to worry about, as long as they hit were...

Have to agree with what Robin and Michael have said. For some reaon, it just doesnt get to me that much. Specially if its well done. I get more annoyed with blue plastic barrel stuff showing, than anything that is not totally european based in its personna. And yeah, now I have in my head furry imag...

Yeah, thats how we do the drill #3 also. Do between 3 to 5 fights, then discuss, then line em up again. At one point, we were adding in fight for the bail drills also, since most allied champ battles were of that type. But basically, we just did a hard and fast resurrect battle over an armor bag, an...

For Midrealm folk - Is there a Columbus, OH Practice 22 Mar?
Will be in town on business, but will arriving around noon, so should easily be done by 5, if not sooner.
So was thinking, if there was a practice, couldnt remember when OSU held theirs, I might drop by and get some fighting in.
Thanks

We really didnt have a name for ours, but it was along the same lines as Mord's. But one thing we did was had everyone that wanted to, be a single and also a pair. If someone didnt want to be a single, that was fine, and for the newer folks, we had no problem with that. But basically, we started wit...

Like Mord said, both ways can do it and also fail at it. But you have the right of it, Tor. New fighters should never seperate. Personally, I love it when they split, cause I will more than likely leg one, and get out, before the other can get to me. When they stick together, and have a game plan an...

Does anyone know who the gentleman is, that looks like he is doing a late roman period personna. Granted could be anything around that time. It just kind of struck me as late roman cavalry. There is a pic, by Joust1 on the I Want To Be Board, and that is, if this became a somewhat normal thing, woul...

Grats on the shield, and grats on the win in the squire tourney, Jonathan, great job. Sounds like you all had a blast. I might need to find a way to make it next year. But will be interesting, since its always on the same weekend as one of our quarterly software upgrades. But if there is a hotel nea...

Yeah, was very much not happy, about having to turn around. I could of made it, but I would of been about an hour or so late, and would of been in a foul mood. At least I think I would of made it, it was snowing pretty good, when I hit Erie at around 9, and I might of had to run over someone, who di...

Bah, sorry didnt make it. Got out late from work, but still got on road around 7:30, so probably would of got there in time for the double elim. Got just outside Erie, and snow was hitting heavy again, and left hand lane became a mess and everyone started driving at 50mph. Kept going for about 15 mi...

Talked to him a little bit, right after Estrella, about ordering a late roman belt, like his and Bohemonds. Emailed him last week about how it was going, but hadnt heard anything back yet. But I also know my yahoo account email can act flacky at times, so have just been chalcking it up to that, and ...

I have to admit, Max, that when I heard that, I thoughtit interesting to me as well. Guess its just a custom out your guys way. I dont think I have either ever been in a crown, or seen a crown, where once to the finals, the slate is wiped clean for both fighters. Not saying its wrong, just saying I ...
