Anyone have a good Coptic Tunic pattern

Well unfort, wifes schedule is a little to hectic, for me to want to have her also try and sew me coptic tunics. So I am going to suck it up, and try to do them myself. < I can hear her sewing machine screaming from here > Anyone have any good patterns or good advise on making one. Wife tried to mak...

Finger gauntlets are great. Had apair for a short time, before I decided I was going back to my basket hilts, mainly cause it was what I was used to. Though I am buying a pair of gauntlets from Torvaldr. Sooner or later I will get another pair of finger gauntlets though. Just want to get a pair, tha...

Only thing you might be able to do though, is if you can find out if he took orders, or still taking orders after he got rid of his stuff.

Then you have basis for intentionally defrauding folks.

Lol, yep, I remember those days also, Bryce. And my aluminum heater back then, plus my shield basket I used to use, brought it right to where it was supposed to be. Used to piss off plenty of marshals when they would look at it, pick it up, and say it wasnt legal only for me to tell them to weigh it...

Would love to see counted blows become the norm for tournament fighting, really, really hate the knee fighting stuff, though I tend to be farely good at it. Not sure how it would transfer over to melees though. Then again, we are based off an honor system, so we would just have to trust each other. ...

Yeah, I am finally going from my heater, to a centergrip oval. Will put a pic out, once I get the kit fully together. New helm is done, so will be able to tie everything together.

Granted, going to suck fighting for a bit, till i get used to fighting with a centergrip. :)

Warriors of History website?

Is this up yet?

Trying to encourage the folks in my warband, to start now on improving their kits to participate in this next year, as well as just trying to encourage them all to just increase the look of their kits over all.

Thanks

Have to say, one of the things I am enjoying seeing in Atlantia, is the variety of shields now. I think I probably could of counted on one hand the amount of guys who fought sword and shield regularly, who didnt fight with a heater type shield. Nice to see variety showing up. Granted, been away regu...

Not sure I agree with this. I am always for the wear what you want, but be aware, the less you wear, the more things are going to hurt. If you dont want to hurt more, then either block better or wear more gear. I dont pull shots on our newer guys, just cause they wear less. If anything, I target the...

For the beginning, it will probably feel like a ton, till you get used to it. After that you should be fine. Also, the Cariadoc shield weights, has its flaws, its just one of the better ways for myself to get a decent idea, on if my shields are to light or not. So I use it, with a grain of salt. I w...

Not really, specially with how you made it. How big is it? If you go off the old Cariadoc rules for shields that I think some kingdoms used to use, I think it used to be about 2 pounds per sq foot. For what a wooden shield back in those days would of weighed. If you went more towards the steel shiel...

Just throwing in my thoughts on the matter. I like having CA on the field, but would love to see it go away from the magic arrow, we currently have, and to the face only. Actually James, one reason the kits tend to lean towards 14c is, and this is just a total guess, the bascinet. For the longest time, it was "THE" tourney helm, due to its glancing surfaces. Plus the fact, that a lot of armorers were pushing them out quickly more than any other helm. Granted, a lot o...
