Actually what would be even more evil is to get a helm to match this stuff, and get one of the superdukes to wear it at say Pennsic, Gulf or Estrella, something like that. With no one knowing any wiser, and see how many people go and try and pick on them before finding out who is wearing it. :)

By the way, what would be the closest airport for someone to fly into for this. I am guessing Phoenix.

Just thinking of actually seeing if I can get out that way this year. Never been, and trying to knock the wars I have never been to off my list. :)

Have the suit done, just waiting for new helm before I start up again. But wouldnt mind upgrading to the aluminum. I just could never find anyone selling...

Hal, how much would it end up being if someone wanted to get the stuff from the Alldetools pic? Granted, not going to get it now, but would be nice to know. With getting my new helm from Dirk, if I do another personna, it will probably be a crusader period personna, and I wouldnt mind making a lot o...

Yeah, Like I said, could just be my viewpoint, Raito. Though our heavy community here in the Pittsburgh area is pretty big, our rapier community is just as big. Part of my equation for a lot of my thinking, is coming off where I live right now. We seem to not get a lot of heavies from our local coll...

Yeah I remember the Wiccan site one for many different reasons. :)

1. Andrew got knighted.
2. We were not allowed to walk in certain parts.
3. I dented Mikes Suburban with the trailer when I was backing up, and backed up to sharply and jacknifed the trailer into back. :(

Lol, yeah. I think the first one that was in October, was the one at that airport, when it was bloody freezing, or maybe that was the second one in October, and the first one in oct was the one where Andrew got knighted and was on that Wiccan site.

Yep, everyone of mine that broke like that, was just the strapping tape holding it on. No webbing what so ever, and basically had same reaction though of as you described.

Have to agree with his Grace. When I use to use inch and a half or 2 inch short swords, I was always breaking them off near the hilt. Which was one reason I went away from using them. They were never shaved, just standard rattan in a cuphilt. They would look perfectly fine, and sometimes were brand ...

Bryce, when was this event before Pennsic. I could of swore I went to all the first ones, back when this was called Pointless War. And could of swore it was always around October. Main reason I was thinking of this, was cause it kind of took place for us not having Sea Wars anymore. Actually memory ...

Justus, you mentioned something earlier in this post about heavy fighting and rapier, and how you have not seen a lot of new heavy fighters, but you have a ton of folks doing rapier. Been thinking on this lately. I am wondering if it has anything to do with a couple of things. 1. Rapier is a lot eas...

Sorry to hear that Hammerhand. I actually started in the SCA down there, so I know a few of the people that still live there. Person I would try to get in contact with, would be Addendra Marland. I think thats cause for the longest time, everyone always had them on the outside, so folks just go for that.
