Sold - Stainless Steel Welded Knuut Coif(price drop)(pics)
Will get pictures up, when I get home. I basically just took it out of the box and put it on my head to make sure it fit right. But decided to go another route, so dont need this. I have a 23.5" head, and it fits fine with some room to spare, for something underneath if you wanted to wear something....

Nice kits both, and yeah its nice to see how things look on bigger guys. And have to admit, the cross bar above the basket really draws my eye from the basket and makes it just look like a gauntlet. I have to seriously concentrate to notice the basket, my eye keeps going to the crossbar. Nice job.

Re: Important review of Icefalcon!
Actually if you had paid attention the past year on these titanium shirts, yes they are 2k, but they are not customed. They are their sizes and thats it, so B. Amos actually does have a point, as far as them not being custom made. Custom means they took his measurements and built the shirt to those....

Ugh, i tried to watch the Top Gear US version again last week, just had to turn it off. Just dont like the presenters, maybe just spoiled from the BBC version. I thought maybe with a year in their belt, they would have better banter between each other, but it was just not good.

Yeah, I have a scar from a helmet bite over my left temple, have plenty of armor bites from properly fitted armor to myself. It happens.
Loved tonights episode, the 2 guys did really well.

Re: Full Metal Jousting
I'll pour a 40 for Rod. :) Like I said earlier, loved the show, and luckily, I have never been one of those that get caught up in historical accuracy, when it never was intended to be. I do love the format, probably cause I like Top Shot, Ultimate fighter(before it became just a bunch of drama and v...

Re: Full Metal Jousting
I really enjoyed it. I love the fact that its like Top Shot. I used to watch all the shows like The Contendor, Ultimate Fighter and Top Shot, so it automatically drew me in with that. I like that fact they spent more time talking about the horses. You can definitely tell a difference in which show h...

Hmm, good point. I was thinking center of shield, but center point of balance would be better. maybe will set it up to see where that is on this and cut the hole there.

Center grip heaters?
For those who use them, where are you putting the boss at? Granted yeah, I know title says center grip. :), but it doesnt look right there. Was watching some films and saw some, and thought they were interesting. I'm guessing around the 1/4 mark. So lets say shield is 30" long, the boss would go aro...

Re: Calontir Crown Video
Does Calontir have a shield size regulation, for their Crowns, or was it just that most these fighters looked like they were fighting with shields that they could span. I really ought to ask this of all kingdoms at some point. Curious on how many kingdoms have a habit of having shield size rules for...

Hmm, thats not a bad idea, Marcus. Might have to do some testing with that idea. Other ideas are good also, will have to think about this a bit more. Waiting on the new helm, so have a few weeks.

Plastidip for shield edging?
All the plastidip posts got me to thinking. Am about to start building a new shield and such, but been procrastinating, cause of all the pain in the but stuff that goes with it, plus knowing that after I put the car edge stuff on the shield then canvas, I always dread when I have to remove everythin...

Re: Clam vs. finger gauntlets
Grettr's gauntlets are awesome, and I might try them again at some point. I sold my last pair to one of my squires cause I kept getting armor bites on the side of my right index finger as well as some interesting bruises on the top knuckle. Buts thats cause of my hands, not his gauntlets. I'm guessi...

Ice Dragon I think still averages over a hundred fighters maybe. I didnt go last year, but I thought I remember someone mentioning it.
But yeah, War Practice and Blackstone Raids are the two biggest, with Ice Dragon behind them. I'll be nice and not include Pennsic. :p

HEY!! That's a low blow! Why yes...I suppose it is. It's kewl. That still scores in Charlie's league apparently...if you're Charlie. But it's ok, because he has to win every purse for the sake of the Sport. Yep, that was definitely a low shot. DJ, the MC, was one of my knights back in the Knights o...

Ka0z, do you by chance know the what kind of aluminum the heater shield is, as in, if its T7 or T6. Debating on getting it, money orders are just a pain to deal with, would of already got it if you did Paypal.
By the way, what would shipping it to 15212 be.

I liked it, but mainly cause it reminded me why I watch NASCAR and why I used to watch wrestling. Its over the top, and your just watching waiting for the train wreck.
