Its actually one of the things I love about a couple of our events here in AEthelmearc. We check in with the MOL when we sign in at troll and they give you a sticker to put on your helm for when you get checked. So no bringing your card or wallet on the field.

WTB - Welded Stainless Chainmail Coif - no longer looking

Well been debating on putting an aventail on the new helm, but honestly, that just wouldnt look right with it. So going to go with a coif. If Master Knute carried them in stock, I would just buy one from him. But as far as I know, he doesnt, which means I would need to wait, and I hate waiting. So s...

Re: question about lacing lamellar for those what know

Good rule of thumb for me was lets say I was doing plates across my belly. I would take a strand across, then double it. I always had length left, but that made it easier putting stuff together. Plus it helped to attach the back to the front cause I had the extra length to do it with. As far as colo...

Oscad, from what I have heard, they are finalizing the details now and should be out this week, sorry for it being later than normal. But if it goes like normal. There is a Gage Tourney Friday night, not sure when it starts, i want to say around 7 normally, is ran as a bear pit. On Saturday, Field o...

A lot of Crown tourneys this weekend, plus weather is getting nice so folks are finally getting out to events and whatever. I am guessing someone will snatch this up soon, once back.

Very much a work in progress, but here is the new helm. But need to cover my shield, or might just be buying a new one. Need gauntlets again, cause I want to use one for my shield hand instead of the hockey glove. Cover the back of the shield. Get new boots to fight in. Might be adding chain to the ...

Your Grace, do you guys have any 6mm XL Hauberks in stock and also how much do these weigh. I cant remember if they were less than the normal hauberks.

I might be coming into some money in the next couple of weeks if not sooner, and am looking to get some chain for my early 12th cent kit.

Thanks

It's hit and miss William, though I am sure if you showed up, you would get some. This list is very interesting this time. Some names on here who havent fought crowns in awhile, but have been fighting pretty well the last few years. They just havent fought the crowns due to mundane work life. I am t...

Close on the Robert - Cuan Finals, Alaric. Was 96, my last Crown fought and year in Atlantia.

Should be an interesting Crown, I love the no thrusting rule. :)

Will have to look up and see where this is at, and maybe make a road trip if its up this way with the new car.

Wasnt there due to finances, but discrepency on numbers is probably cause they take your info for MOL when you sign in at troll. So 113 fighters signed in, but only 70 showed up due to weather. Numbers I heard back on were also at 70, 35 - 35 at least at one point. Hated to miss it, but well got a n...

I usually ordered straight from Asgards website, and never had a problem. Plus, had mine for years, before selling them and never had an issue with them. I cant say the same...

Couple of years ago, when I did the chainmail thing at pennsic, all I wore underneath was a linen tunic.

To be honest, there were a few times out there I was actually getting chills, cause of the nice breezes we get off the field, that were going right thru the linen tunic. I loved it. :)

Was taught, half height and shoulder width is good, its pretty close to the shoulder width - chin to crotch measurment, at least on me. I think there might be an inch difference between the two.

Once again, 5 stars all around. Price was right, turnaround was excellent, and well damn nice product. This is my third helm from Jackie, and I had one other that he did work on for me when no one else would touch it, which is what got me to work with Jackie in the beginning. Just extremely happy wi...

As far as I know, its perfectly legal. Heck, I know someone, wont name names, but is an evil lefty and really tall and has arms like an orangutan, :). But he usually wont throw a single shot against polearms, till he has grabbed their haft with his shield hand. Its a game for him. :)
