I would suggest painting it instead. Most places use the sunforger canvas and I am not sure if the dye would take well after the treatment, not to mention you might cause a nasty chemical reaction. Well sorta, When you look at this tent, and then at a wall tent, you notice a few differences. First a wall tent's walls are much shorter. Ok this is what I found. The guy in the illustration I was thinking of had a kettle hat style helmet and what looked like a mail coif.
