Sean, I am currently mounting some rope on the edge of the sheild and then working with a cut plastic tube over it. It protects both the shield and the oponents weapons that way. Thanks! Any details you want to share? Type and size of rope, how you attach it, type of tube, how you hold that as well...

I am setting up a tire pell. Just simple as lashing together some old tires and then setting them up at the right height. If I ever got really into working it, I could color it for my training partner to tell me colors to hit next. I remember doing something similar to that with my martial arts bud...

I inserted a rattan stick into a tennis ball after cutting off the end, then put close cell foam around the tennis ball. Nice springy mace but with enough thud that they feel it.
