WAY back when I first joined the SCA we went out and bought a couple pewter plates for feast gear. Not knowing any better I put one in the dishwasher and it came out with a much less pleasing finish that the other plate that was just like it. Ideas on how to polish it? Fig 60 page 42 in Purses in Pieces looks like a cousin of ... m ( which is based on one from MoL's Dress Accessories ) with a small flap covering the closed top of the pouch. ( which I think looks a little more finished and neat... in a neat and tidy kinda way not neat = cool ) How big of a stretch ...

any ideas on scale? I need a good compromise between proper sizing and having it big enough for the stuff she might carry around in it at an event.... She carries a basket when she wants to have room for more stuff.... Or she takes me along to carry purchases when shopping Wallet, keys, cell phone.....
