Since it's in the middle, you could get 12" of pvc or even copper pipe with an inside diameter just slightly larger than the pole, and make a sleeve. Personally, I'd cut it in 1/2 and make 2 short spears for matched weapons. It's about 12 inches from the 'pointy' end.... flipping it around may...

looks like it took a nice hard blow across the shaft,

repairing fiberglass spears? ( minor damage )

I've got what looks like a potential weak spot on a spear shaft that I bought at Pennsic this year. I used it a lot..... It's one if the rted ones Icefalcon sells Is there anyway to repair/reinforce/whatever the area before it becomes a larger problem? Or do I need pictures before you answer?

Some after Pennsic auto repairs MIGHT cause me to skip ahead in the queue and make something that I have materials on hand for already... I'll know more by midweek....
