portable post vice?

I've got myself a post vice.

I do not have enough space to dedicate a 'smithing' area of my shop.
I have to drag the forge and the anvil out into the driveway to work.

Anyone have suggestions on a way to mount the vice in such a way
as to make it semi portable?

anyone have any info on Alchem Incorperated?

My nephew ordered a prod and a string back in December and has not heard anything ( even after a polite email ) He is OK with it being backordered, he would just like to know what is going on. Anyone know an alternate way to get in touch other than the email address listed on their webpage?

You may want to call the people below and ask more details about the size, considering that a suspension or padding will be necessary anyway. m They are cheap display helmets, but well made and more than suffucient for boffer and fancy garb purposes. Though IOTCUSA are wholesalers, if the people ab...

14th Cent youth boffer helm for a 6 year old?

just a fact finding query......

Mid to late 14th century? Basinet preferred but willing to consider other options

Who makes them?
( think they might be willing to barter? )

How much?
( thinking stainless for maintenance issues )

Re-sale market for them?

Very nice. How did you inset the sides (and back I assume) flush with the frame? Tongue and groove? The frames was assembled with pocket screws. For the panels I used a biscuit joiner and a LOT of biscuits. ( which is basically a way to 'cheat' for a tongue and groove joint.... and when I say a lot...

If I were going to make the classic Coca Cola Santa Claus using historic clothing as a guideline, I'd do it like this. Cannions, buttoned up the side with small sleigh bells - red flannel wool. A renaissance shirt, white linen. A Tudor style jerkin, sleeved, closed to the neck, buttoned with green ...

Santa's 'uniform' - possibly/probably NOT medieval....

....but is is still historical ( at least a little... lol ) Is there some actual clothing that your basic Santa's coat and hat are actually based ( even if loosely ) on?
