14th century style knife: Now what?
I've got a knife to make...
I've covered step's one and two....
1. Decide you want to make a knife.
2. Get a blade blank.
now what?
Wood? Bone? Those cool little decorative tin pins in the handle?
This is my first knife and I'm not sure where to go from here....

Check the table for true end to end, and corner to corner hte long way. If it's _not_ true (one side is lower on the adjustable side) you can often shim them. Check the blade housing carefully for bearing wobble.. that will simply piss you off if it occurs. (Don't how how big a jointer you have dea...

Yep, that's a starter cap alright. Specifically a 243 microfarad cap... I'll go look at Grainger and see what they have in a similar size. Jason [edited to add] Starter cap Another starter cap Either of those should work. Or you can dig around the grainger site and find something more to you're lik...

Ok.... I went back and re-read what you posted and what I posted. I may have over-reacted and put a few things a little too bluntly. You are right you didn't say those things. You did say things that could have implied them though. I also didn't say that you did. I did't mention you at all in my pos...

I'll go as far as to say this Anyone who claims they are throwing a blow that is actually hard enough to 'kill' through the chain mail standard that the SCA uses is either...
