How high is your weapon mounted above the ground (At the pivot point, give or take an inch)? Thanks. I had a ballista.... ( I got tired of dealing with the constant rule changes, but things may have settled since then.... It was the first approved Midrealm engine. ) It was a little above my waist a...

Unfortunetly no, I still have a lot of work to do. Edward Yes, you can in point of fact document your armor. Just because you still have things that could be better that does not mean you cannot document your armor. An 'all or nothing' approach would do much more harm than good to the SCA. The only...

Hit with authority...... What does that really mean? I hit with enough force that my opponent knows I meant to do that . That is hard enough that there is a difference from a blow that lands incorrectly. That is different from a 'blow' that was actually a block for a blow your opponent didn't throw....

The Military order was not to avoid secular knight persona. I picked up the helm because of an interest in the the military orders of the crusades. I asked about the portrayal of a 'knight' rank from real world history by a non-SCA knight. but yes, the robe was to cover the lack of mail. the sleeved...

It's round ring welded where there is mail... the breastplate is not accurate but not horrendous... the legs have the basic form but lack the details that make them correct.... My mind was wandering the other day ( no leash laws in my head ) and a question came to me.... Before I comment I'd like to hear from others so I do not bias my own question. What is it that makes a ransom ' worthy ' of the giver? Is the the value of the item? The thought behind it? The representati...

If I might suggest - Bring it up to the MIC for whatever tournament you attend, MAKE SURE they are OK with this as an option, and let them announce it to the fighters for that day. You'll find it easier to get positive notice that way, IMO. Probably get more takers, too. . Dilan I think the point i...

How would you set up the rules for an experiment in winning armor and 'horses' from your defeated opponents based on SCA combat rules?
