I too used to be an old fashioned metal parts sewing machine workhorse fan. Then I got this machine a couple of years ago: m I have never used any of the embroidery stuff. Probably not going to. I bought it because it was the cheapest machine I could find that sewed eyelets. I thought I would use it...

I might have talked to you, but my only ebay armoring I have done was with Blue Monkey.. Assuming you had a good experience with Blue Monkey, you can email her through her ebay store and tell her what you want and she will make an auction for you. I just bought a med stainless pair. Got them fast.

Take your big tent. Pre-reg an extra spot for the space. Totally worth it. Take all the garb you own. Make a couple of long sleeve T-tunics. You can make do with what you have. But if you want more, frankly I think having two sets of clothes for every day isn't excessive. I don't have it. But I'd li...

I fought in tassets for years. They did nothing to prevent the ass wraps I was getting hit with because the shot came up from below the tasset. YMMV.

I bought a pair of these to wear under my armour:

It helped somewhat. Enough that I could heal up in about 7-10 days anyway.

My initial kit was blue plastic barrel "plate" cuisses attatched to an articulated knee. I covered the plastic with thin leather. It's not too thick. You will still feel shots and can even bruise with them. Make sure you cut with the curve of the plastic instead of against it (I.e. orient ...

From a practical perspective, I'd say leather. The fabric doesn't seem to hold up (IE every one I have seen made in velvet seems to snag or tear almost immediately with SCA use.) The leather wears, but can be touched up with dye and polish. Leather is easier to clean. My plastic leather covered one ...

I don't really want the rust converter to last longer, but the OP might. I think it looks better once it has worn off a little. It's not that I'm totally into the blackened look, it is just that I'm really not into the rust look and I don't want to put the effort in to keep the mild rust free. Nor d...

You can also paint a scene on your shield. I have ripped off many illuminations. I cannot freehand much of anything, but I can copy. Plus lots of images before about 1350 are flat with little shading or perspective, which hides a lack of artistic skill.

http://www.fashionfabricsclub.com/ has silk twills, and I've gotten some nice heavy ones from there. If you sign up to the email list and wait, they often go on sale for $7 a yard.

Blame or fault aside, that has nothing to do with the seller's duty or breach of contract. The seller is still required to deliver the goods or not get paid for them in a standard US transaction unless there's been some sort of meeting of the minds (agreement) to the contrary. As a society we have d...
