I have one of these tents. Mine is set up as they describe in direction that Crimthann posted. I do not believe putting an exterior from on it will work without sewing loops on the tent to secure it to the frame, unless you make the frame to fit the outside of the tent for looks only.

Ya, I have read plenty about it. It is just that most articles does really specify on what guage to use. I was looking to buy punched solid rings but the only source that I can find is Theringlord.com. That being said they only sell 1/4'' ID punched rings. Anyone know of someplace that sells punche...

You are welcome. One thing you may have to do is add a piece on the grille if your chin is even with the bottom. I have had two helms that I had to do that with so far. Sometimes it is padding, other times it is the fact that a long thin head needs a longer grille.
