I used aluminum oxide primer on a boat I painted for the fire department years ago (small 16' jon boat). It held up well, mater of fact it still looks good today. What I did with my aluminum shield was to Glue canvas over both sides and paint the canvas. That way it doesn't look as bad. I had to rep...

Being a relative new person ( less than 5 years in SCA), I think I have $1-2K in the items I have. I still have most of my first kit too. I loan the good parts out to people starting out. I read a lot of people were comparing costs for hobbies...I did a little figuring and WOW...scary... I have done...

Hjalmr, While I am saddened by this misfortune, I am saddened most for you. The situation sucks with everything going on in this day and age. Our community will be losing a great asset, hopefully not forever.... I can wait for a while for a refund (even though I could use the money also), but do wha...

The cheapest I ever saw the Tippman was from Ross saddlery in Texas. I believe he is a dealer and was selling it at his cost. I the last time I saw them under $1K it was through him. I thought about buying one years ago, as everyone I know that has them loves them (or hates them). I used to do a ton...

Re: Late Roman Linen Tunic
I made this a couple of years back when I was planning a 4th century Romano-Briton impression. It is made from high quality fustian linen/cotton blend. Its machine sewn throughout. Would make a good fighting tunic for the person with this impression. It will fit anyone with a 38 to 42 chest. Would ...

I bought my first one a number of years ago on EPAY from another dealer, I think I gave $25 shipped. It is ragged, as it got lent out to many people. I ended up buying one from the vendor listed here for $30 shipped. This buyer is a good guy and his prices are excellent...well better than most. I th...

It is a SLOW process though. I echo losthelm on the burnin...

You have possibly found one of the few collections of people where the men will spend as much time looking at what the model is wearing as what she looks like. You need to do well with Shroud so you make enough money to: A) Finish the first suit. B) Build a second suit. C) Script and record a secon...
