review of d-farrell2

Recently I purchased a set of 15th C arms from Dave on the Archive. Needless to say, the transaction was flawless from beginning to end. He shipped them with tracking number and kept me informed of it from beginning to end. The arms were exactly as described. I would certainly buy from Dave again an...

Review- Atzinger Shield Werks

I recently purchased a set of legs and greaves from Sir Vitus for my wife to replace her 14th C leg harness that I have been using for jousting. I do have to say, that I am happy beyond measure with the transaction with Sir Vitus. The product was exactly as described, was in excellent condition and ...

Thanks for the apology. I have already apologized to Sean and Shawn, the two fellows who obtained the armor for the fiasco that held them back from this past SCA fighting season. I am sorry if a bad financial situation you had lead to this armoring deal going south, and the other orders dried up bec...

Do an search on eBay for the term kettle or kattle hat. There are ones that have 'BEST OFFER' on them. Offer 20.00 on it. Offer it again. and again. They usually take it after a while and you get a groovy hat. I've made a few youth helms out of these with catchers grills installed on them. They are ...

I will see them tomorrow and find out how they want to proceed. We are all attending the same event and I was going to help them make sure the armor that fit did so properly and was workable.

I will explain the process of leaving a review if they sign on the Archive.

Or, off the rack, or in stock.

For Sale- Armorer Eric Legs, arms, spaulders, greaves

I have two sets of armorer eric's legs, arms, spaulders and greaves. Needless to say, they don't fit the people who purchased them, and they are unwilling to wait another long period for replacement. I will get pictures of them from the two fellows in my household who purchased them and put them up ...

I sometimes sell my armor and then regret it later every time. If you decide you simply must sell it (and I suggest you do not unless it puts you out on the street), what size is the breastplate and pauldrons. My squire has a pair. I couldn't get $50.00 for them after he paid nearly 600 and got the shaft from PA. It isn't the fact that the econmy is bad, sorry to say, tis because the gauntlets are bad....

i want to get ready for double wars on the 15th of may 2009. This is the sticker. You can take your chances but if you need it by this date that really narrows the places down. I use what they used. My armor is as period as it can get. I aim to do what they did, and suffer as they did and experience as close as I can to what they did. I have 14C hourglass gauntlets with period fingers, and Wisby ones that are the same. I have never had serious issues with each, but I don't...

Each style has it's drawbacks and benefits, and you have to weigh what you want and what each provides to choose a pair.

Like James, I have used both types of Moore gauntlets. Both the Wisby and hourglass ones passed, and were far superior to hockey gloves. Sometimes I get stinger shots to the hand, but no where near the danger presented using hockey gloves. I guess the "duck hand" factor in the grounding ou...
