David stifler my comments are raised out of scorn, not ignorance. I call that scorn ignorance. The problem with waving your member out in the open is that eventually someone will cut it off. The sort of bravado shown in such posts when topics come up like this makes me vomit. And Kimbo Slice got hi...
Well it is easy to learn to be effective with a stab and many times it is so effective that their other shots suffer or never develop. This is a training issue then and not what I thought. Of course, I'm a firm believer in training to do things, then applying them later in real time. Some people th...
I was told not to use a stabbing tip when i was coming up because it is a crutch and would hurt my other shots because of how easy it is to stab someone.
I am speechless about this comment. Don't stab because it is too easy to kill by stabbing?
First assessment. The partner must be more professional. He is very distraacting to the video when he gets bored. The person whom you are partnered with must be well versed in the manuvers you are intending to use, and how to react to them and what NOT to react to. Two, the environment must be condu...
I am a pussy. All this talk about how hard tips will be. Let's me tells ya a tale. Once, I was fighting in this tournament. I find my opponent is easily fooled by a left advance into his range while he swings and a quick shield snatch opening with a thrust to the belly that I follow with an offside ...
Keep in mind Aaron, that the most effective way to thrust is not effective in SCA combat. Also, thrusting is by far the least issue with great weapons and SCA rulesset.
Imagine the joy you would feel if you could cut someone down at the calf with your cleaver.......
Now there are experiments with Extreamely Low Profile Thrusting Tips and even thrusting with no padding at all. Why? What is the impetus behind these? My guess is people got tired of having to thrust 3-4 times anywhere but the face before a person realized they were being struck then having the 5th...
Don't get your dander up Dagohair guy. There are a lot of people here who will tell you that thier gay style is less gay than your gay style. If you bite in, soon it will spiral to the wavering of male memberage and the shwiiiip of measureing tapes throughout the world of fake fighting. I got to try...
V- I included $20 in the check I sent you for shipping. The original price you gave me on my stuff didn't include shipping. I hope that covers the ship, if not let me know.
Been training the new warhorse- Got him sacked to armor, flags and having lances used from his back. Some pics of me and the new horse Damascus (we name all our horses after Crusader cities) training with my co-worker and jouster freind Sir Roland Fallswell on his mount Argus. http://img.photobucket...
Not a problem at all. I will see how things work out here if I can add the coif or skirt for the wife. Shipping back the XL maille tomorrow, I'll send you the tracking # on it via PM. Same box it came in, so keep an eye out for it. If you can get me the replacement by the 3rd of OCT for our jousting...
For the world of armoring this is one of the darkest of days. Adam is one of the very best in this craft. I am proud to wear his work, and honored that he was one of my "chosen" (best in the biz) armorers. I truly hope you can recover Adam. Armor be damned, you had one of the best attitude...
Was in the Amish country in Indiana all weekend, got back to flooding from Ike's remenants. Won't be on for a while with having to clean out our basement from the water.
