SCA combat is a modern iteration of the Medieval behourd. The behourd was not earnest life or death combat. Neither is SCA combat. What the behourd was, was a contest between noble friends for the purpose of testing skill and celebrating prowess, art and culture. That is what SCA combat is. +1 Well...

We could, I reckon, say the same about pitting a top-rated SCA combatant against WMA practitioners. What rules would be applied? I agree. However, there is a vast difference between SCA "stick tag" and actually going out and killing a man in armored combat. The SCA's big advantage at this...
