I do believe Alexander the Great's men encountered the Noble Weed when they entered India and Afghanistan. They liked it more than wine because it made them, um, more kindly disposed to the world (like wine) but didn't make them feel crappy the next day.

I have a stop sign (legally acquired) that still has part of the post attached with some kind of uber-rivet (when did they stop using screws, dammit).

Any ideas how to get that bad boy off?

Hence my point. If you're going to ban Combat Archery based on the premise that we're all Nobles and SCA events are to beconsidered as Tournaments or Melees, then one should also ban female combatants and all other non chivalrous personas. Sorry, bub, women in armor show up in period documents (Jea...

I fight in a closed face helm and I see no reason why, with a few mods to improve vision and airflow, I can't enjoy success fighting in it. Maybe this will help sum up why some people don't like CA: The SCA is a warrior culture. Fighters fight, and so much of what we do is centered around supporting and admiring this fact. CA'ers, for the most part, participate in the fighting, but don't fight. Their perceived purpose and use on the fie...
