I would imagine that buckle on the neck could be troublesome. Getting hit there could be painful with a large buckle being pressed against your throat.

Never made one but I've always thought it would be interesting to have one. I love this style.


I imagine creating the maille hauberk first and then tailoring the the gambeson/outer shell after the maille is together.


I'm really interested in seeing how this turns out.
