Unless you want to resell it... and that helmet would be harder to unload than a bascinet, that's for sure. And the maker would have the same problem trying to recover on the investment that you would. Maybe I am missing something. If someone buys a custom helm, and it doesn't fit, then why is it t...

I like the new stuff, Ben. That sword is impressive. Now all we need to do is get you some wood stain... and yes, match up the furniture. Windrose on the crossguard? Do they make that in Brass? I have some stain, just haven't applied it yet. And no unfortunately Windrose doesn't do the cross guard ...

So my first attempt at an Ottoman styled sword, there are a few things I will do different next time. Possibly work on getting the cross guard anodized to match the pommel. Lilies War AA Gathering.
Not to take up too much of the other Lilies thread for out of kingdom role call, I would like to see if we can organize an AA gathering at Lilies this year.
I'll be there for the last 4 days, Thurs. through Sunday, I'd like to meet as many from here as possible.
How should we organize this?

I'm putting up my kick videos from last year because they're different and the Duke Uther leg shot head combo is already here along with some other great ones that are on my favorites list. These are EMP fights. 1. Please take into account that I didn't have a dagger on me or I would have just jump...

So a person can be a liar, a cheat, a vulgar ass around children, say the most profane things around women, and verbally assault nuns, but can still be honorable if he is good with a stick? That's blowing it a little out of proportion. There are those I associate with how have the tendency to be ve...

Great video's, these are what I like to see. I've played with a greatsword on about 5 or 6 occasions so far, I really, really, really enjoy it. I'm not to shabby either, at least for the little bit I've been using it. I played longsword for quite some time and even went to the local chapter of Toble...

Jon, I take a bit of offense (not too much) to what you are saying. Here in Spinning winds there are very few fighters, most of them over the age 40 and a majority of those have been fighting less than 3 years. I have fought you on a few occasions here, at the time I didn't think I was being a wuss....

The only difference between the niche market many of the U.S. vendors are filling and any other market is the size. There is a proportionately smaller market so you must have a larger portion of the market share to make a living. I've purchased from American vendors (Jackie@shamrock armoury) and hav...

Favorite YouTube fights w/o Sword and Shield
The other thread got me thinking, I love seeing the S&S fights, but I'm starting to get into great weapons, what's your favorite?

Re: Best Enamel for Helmets
I was tired of my shiny steel helmet so i sanded it really well and then painted it black. I got some "High Performance" Auto ename(rustoleum) and was wondering if there were any other, more protective, yet adequately priced clear/black enamels out there that would hold up to SCA combat b...
