Unless you want to resell it... and that helmet would be harder to unload than a bascinet, that's for sure. And the maker would have the same problem trying to recover on the investment that you would. Maybe I am missing something. If someone buys a custom helm, and it doesn't fit, then why is it t...

Never ordered custom work from him before but I've got no qualms about doing it. I trust the word of a majority of Archivers and there are many here who say nothing but great things about his product and service.

I've also used steel pipe caps and/or fittings as a pommel any hardware store they can be had for less than 10 bucks.

Done right the most expensive thing on a sword can be the rattan.

Where can I find a completed gun, or maybe the kit for one. It could be a great project for us to do together over the summer.

I like the new stuff, Ben. That sword is impressive. Now all we need to do is get you some wood stain... and yes, match up the furniture. Windrose on the crossguard? Do they make that in Brass? I have some stain, just haven't applied it yet. And no unfortunately Windrose doesn't do the cross guard ...

So my first attempt at an Ottoman styled sword, there are a few things I will do different next time. Possibly work on getting the cross guard anodized to match the pommel. Lilies War AA Gathering.

Not to take up too much of the other Lilies thread for out of kingdom role call, I would like to see if we can organize an AA gathering at Lilies this year.

I'll be there for the last 4 days, Thurs. through Sunday, I'd like to meet as many from here as possible.

How should we organize this?

I would think you could strap it vertically with your arm hanging down like the previous picture and like many scutums I've seen. I've been dreaming of putting one of these together for the SCA for a long time but I have no idea about how effective it would be in combat.

Jon, I take a bit of offense (not too much) to what you are saying.
