Another tent would work, that's what my camp did last year.
Before you store it, make sure to dry it in the sun, it'll smell less.

Thanks for the data, keep it coming. Olaf, What type of hauberk are you wearing? Rivetted? As of tonight I have a Norman helm coming to me from James River Armoury and a stainless hauberk from Knuut. The rest of the kit will be built around this, and I expect to have no money for armor for some time...

Review of Ld Ragnar MacHardy
I went to MacHardy looking for leather to make a c-belt. He was quick to respond and told me he had something that would do. When the leather got here I was shocked. I thought I was buying some scrap piece, but what arrived was a large piece - enough for probably 3 belts and then some - of what is l...

How much does your maille kit weigh?
I'm contemplating a hauberk that is 15% of my body weight...plus the helm and the rest of the armor.
How does that work out for everyone else?
Is a kit that is 40% of your weight standard?
Since we all love pictures, feel free to post that too.

Contacting Master Knuut
How? I sent him a few e-mails, PMed him here, nothing back yet and it's been a couple of weeks for some of the e-mails. In the past I was able to contact him promptly via e-mail. Does anyone have a reliable way to get in contact with Master Knuut? I'd really like to give him money and buy a hauberk....

Freiman, On quality: I haven't fought in them yet, but so far I've inspected 100 out of the 450 plates I've purchased and they are all identical, a few have some light surface scratching but it's lamellar sitting in a box, so what do ya expect? All the holes are deburred and smooth, to preserve the ...

Review of Eldesar.com
I just got my aluminum lamellar in today, it looks really good, the plates are consistent and TINY! I expect lots and lots of flexibility out of this suit.
I'd recommend eldesar.com to anyone looking to purchase lightweight lamellar, especially as a good alternative to plastic.

ISO stainless bascinet w/ klapvisor bargrill
Yup, just what the subject says, a friend is looking for one of these helms. If you can do this or have an armourer in mind who can, please contact me, pics and price quotes are always a plus.
Thanks,
Adam

I filled a bucket with de-greaser (Purple Power?) and cleaned it off until the bucket turned from light purple to black. Maybe it took three times? After that I rinsed it in a bucket of water and hung it up, drying it with a heat gun. To protect from rust, I try to maintain the blackened finish that...
