It's possible that alternating solid/riveted rows might be cheaper, and I'll investigate it with my supplier. But right now I'm trying to get the volume up on a specific style so that I can keep the prices reasonable and perhaps eventually make a profit, after I recoup my initial investment costs. O...

Oops - sorry - didn't mean to leave out Erik. Erik's stuff is in a totally different ballpark - it's all hand made. I meant as far as a commercial product goes.

Yes, Erik can make just about anything maille-related that you want. He's the best in the world.

I don't know what the metric conversions, and I don't have my calculator handy, but the rings start out as 18GA wire, which is roughly .0475" in diameter. They are then fully flattened. The ID is close to 3/8". Master Cad: Yes, I will be bringing one to Pennsic. Iain: I don't know anyone else who is...

Hey Glen! I had a couple of problems with the shoes that Sam made me. I don't fault him - he made a herculean effort to get them to me in time for MTA last year (they were actually delivered to me AT MTA! http://www.armourarchive.org/ubb/smile.gif ). But I think the leather on his shoes was a bit th...

I bought two of these tarps for the floor of my pavillion. They are very tough, and I had not thought of using them for armour applications. I think they would do well for COP applications.

It looks like the often-times over-reactive SCA has done it again.
