Dimitrios. I understand what you mean when you suggest that breasts are feminine (thus it should not be a big deal to wear a breasted cuirass just as men might don a male-chested cuirass) But lets call a spade a spade and not dance around b.s..... this isnt a ""feminine"" issue....

I've never heard of it, and google knows nothing of this term. I think it's likely an error, or possibly an invention.

Way better than paint. It will scrape off eventually, though. So it would do to lay it on thick or have the equipment to douse it again.

Every time someone marches through in one of these threads spraying omnidirectional piss and vinegar, I'm reminded of this comic. Armour -both now AND then- is a fashion statement as much as or more than it is protective. Men in armour should now (and did then) look appealing -which by definition in...

Well that's one you don't hear very often. Essentially, you want to take your stainless and stain it up a bit -break it, in other words. Heat works great. Stick your stainless in the oven and heat it up until it changes colors. Sand the oxide off by hand. Rinse and repeat as needed. Not only will th...

Goodness, of course they were painted. Unless you think that all those different colors in the Maciejowski Bible and the Manessa Codex were "just artistic contrivances..."

We've got examples of red, blue, green, black, and parti-color. Go wild with it.

What level of finish do you need? Do you have the equipment or inclination to take them from rough to finished? That says a LOT about the choices you make. Oxyfuel cutting is by far and away your quickest option. Use a circle-cutting jig, or scribe a circle and use a centerpunch to mark out 1/4"...
