Re: Italian travel guide to India, 1508

Kilian, Are any of these depictions early enough? .... A quick search did not avail me. Do you have any links to such? Thanks Mac I have my friend scanning the pages and sources for me to post. One of a 16th century Kali statue holding a madu, and a painting of the gods fighting raksha with madus.

Re: Please G*d, No knee fighting in C&T.

I personally have not pulled the "Monty Python" bullshit in armored combat in almost three years. When I get hit in the limb, I take it as a kill. I will continue to do the same in cut-and-thrust. If I got hit hard enough in my unarmoured arm or leg to sting with a stick, then I would be in shock, o...

Robert, Nice manuscript! Killian, Is there any reason to think that the madu dates back to the 16th C? The only examples I have seen where the date is known are rather recent. I understand that you are just jerking R of C's chain, but I wonder if you (or anyone else) know(s) the answer to this ques...

If you find any let me know. 15th century hose is never cheap and takes effort to make. If you don't want to spend the dosh, you are going to be stuck in dancing tights. Both my sets of 15th century joined hosen are from Historic Enterprises, and I'm glad I spent the extra money. As are my good one...

I have an unfinished pair of what would have been joined hose (but I didn't get the butt quite right) hose that could possibly work as split hose. I just sold my old pair of eggs for about $80. Sorry man :(

On the subject of which is better: I have used both extensively, and I got to say Bokalo is the better option. No contest. Hardier construction, tougher material, and overall better looking to boot.

We're kind of unofficial, but we at the Guild of Usurers can supply that number of SCA fighters who are regular squad mates, and open to BotN rules with SCA kit.

Besides, you owe me a fight :P

Im really on the fence. It has great lines, looks sturdy, and the price is good... But I dunno if I want to risk mucking it up trying to grind out the scribbles.

If someone with more skill than I manages to make it look good and still be sturdy enough for BotN, I'll be on it like stink on a hobo.

Firstly, its KiLian. One "L" please :P

Secondly, I am 5'10.5, 40" waist, 44ish" shoulders. I wear an XL tshirt. The double fits with a little looseness, as I prefer it.
