Re: On SCA silhouettes
Its usually the fault of the armor being miss worn/miss proportioned. To my eye, modern reproduction sport placards, breastplates etc, are worn around practically right above the hips, where in period, the end much higher (as high as around the navel).

Re: besagews annoying, vambraces potentially injurious
Stupid question that could solve your vambrace problem: What kind of foundation garment are you wearing? A good chunk of armor problems that I have seen happen simply because or incorrect or lack of proper arming garments. Also: another stupid question: was the sized to fit you? An over long vambrac...

Interested? HELL YES! Is it probable? Not really... Pros: Im 23 years old with 7 years in harness exp, in pretty good physical condition, and cross trained in several armed and unarmed martial arts. Cons: Armor would need to be advanced considerably, financial logistics -while possible- are much bet...

The arms appear to be some sort of bazuband from the picture. Though I cannot guarantee it, they do not appear to provide adequate coverage over the elbow. If you can post a picture from another angle, you may prove me wrong. The leg armour seems to be something often called a "shovel greave" (kind...

Lightly spray the blankets with a water mister/spray bottle and throw the whole lot in a tumble dryer for a few hours on low. Crongrats, you'll have felted wool! cut to ...
