I screwed my elbow up years ago and it never really healed. Fighting aggravates it at times. I think that the majority of the elbow injuries that occur though are caused by one of two things. Either taking a hit to an underprotected elbow, or throwing a shot without the proper control. The latter is...

Hilt/pommel/handle combo for rattan

I'm sure that I'm not the first person to think of this but it seems like a good, though not complete, idea to me. What I'm thinking is a handle with a pommel and hilt all as one piece, that could fairly quickly be attached to a piece of rattan. The pluses as I see it are a comfortable, good looking...

Re: Hey Mercs

This division of mindset comes, from my observation, prevalent in the SCA fighting community. Those who strive for the Arthurian model migrate towards the royalist game. Those who strive for the historical model minus the rampant rape and destruction tend to become mercs/free company households. I ...

Seems to me that if both legs were injured during the battle, and later infected, turned gangrenous, and needed to be amputated, it would probably officially go down as having lost his legs in defense of the king.

Tuomas, if you need something by Estrella and can cover it, you can do what I did. I got a pair of basketball shorts from Walmart. Sewed lines up them, cut the lining, and slid a piece of hose in. They'll get you by until you have something that can show.
