Viking is a period word. It gets misused and over applied but is still period. My etymology conflicts with yours. (i was surprised to learn that 'wicca' is old english.. i mean, i guess Gardner had to steal the word from somewhere, i suppose.) Viking, n. Scandinavian pirate, 1807, vikingr; modern s...

Hmmm Well I would say that serving 7-8 years as one officer or another in my shire. Autocrat for shire events, Princess' gaurd (when Aethelmearc was a prinicipality). The almost 100 suits of starter armor I've put together for others both Royalist and Merc alike. And the countless hours training th...

I'm guessing the list of suspects could be cut down to less than a handful from a myspace group or less than a dozen from elsewhere. Either way it wouldn't surprise me to find out that using an honorable frontal attack is not something they do. Best of luck tracking them down and putting an end to it.

It's not your cheapest option, but if it is HDPE, there are good glues, they just aren't very cheap. Loctite3030 , with 18+ hours cure time will get you 1980psi shear strength which ought to do OK. For just the cartridge, with no applicator, I found a site that was selling it for about $19. Loctite'...

I appreciate the thoughts, the street hockey armor is a good idea if it is large enough, she's fairly chesty. I'll have to look into it. I was more thinking about general appearance though. Assuming she goes more Migration Era, how should she look? She might well poopoo the whole idea and want to go...

My daughter's persona is non-specific time period Irish, not quite genericelt. It's about time to start working on her hardsuit kit. She told me last night that she wanted to do "Viking" which basically means "I want a spangen helm." Several of the helmets she liked were actually...

Now that it's all nice and resolved and all, I had a thought and they are rare enough that I'll toss it out anyway. Making a rattan sword to be the envy of the fighters, you should get a knob made that looks like a 3 lobed pommel for the VA sword appeal. BTW, I owe you some chapters. Haven't flaked,...

The wolf's nose is off center, the stitching is far from flawless, the leather is puckered at the stitching, It might be worth $25 but seeing as how tomorrow is payday and I'm feeling generous, I'll give you $30. please let him be ridiculously naive and everybody else be silent. Using a dead pig over a live one is going to yield different results. Something that not only can but will move away from contact with the blade is entirely different that complete, non-moving dead weight. Just tell the livestock people that repeated small pricks with a sword is the only kosher way ...
