Wow. I missed this thread until now. Really, really nice work as always Cat. I've always thought the Stargate masks were cool and this is a good interpretation. Since it doesn't look like you ever got a response. What is "leafing"? It sounds very interesting! Leafing is applying a really t...

The alternative is to brown it with "browning fluid". That will prevent rust as well when combined with a little oil every now and again. The eventual finish is like a very old hammer. f Freiman, I'm thinking that browning might make metal bits that are covered but still have the possibil...

I thought that Armour and Castings had pretiful rivets but in looking, his rivet category is empty. Worst case I guess you could cover the rivets with belt plaques but it might be worth contacting him.

Talbot's also has a brass rosette rivet.

One of the local fighter here has sorta-kinda gamboised cuisses. They are sewn together with tubes about an inch apart from each other with garden hose inserted. He says that they protect so well that he often has to reevaluate shots' goodness because he barely feels them. I'm gonna try some too. If...

The Party Pics at events idea is iffy, but try it out at a few and see. If you could convince the Crowns to let you have a good angle at court, I could definitely see award recipients who would buy prints. As to portraits at large events, I definitely see a niche. Get some nice backgrounds for peopl...

I also need to know from Valentin or Freiman whichever way they go if you need the extra rivets. I taped the box up last night without them but can open and retape if necessary.

The size on his gauntlets is AFAIK adjusted by padding and straps. I have large (2xl gloves often don't fit me) hands and wore them with 1/4" foam padding and thinsulate lined gloves. The rivets could easily be popped out and the straps shortened if your hands are smaller. I'll throw in some ri...

1967 limited edition numbered 245/1000. Some shelf wear, binding is splitting somewhat, still overall good condition.

$150 plus actual shipping. This needs to go fast so if it hasn't been snatched by tomorrow evening I'll take offers or auction it, haven't decided.
