I appologize for my tone and for pissing you off. Mornings and posting don't always work out well for me. It wasn't intended as an attack but in rereading it I can see it being taken as such. That aside, in rereading both the post that I quoted, and your explanation, it still sounds to me like you a...

But - you might expect a little different level of response when the letter is coming from someone known to everyone on the Board, met them all face-to-face, talked to them on the phone. And not in an adversarial position, nor as a supplicant. My wife was the Society Seneschale. And I couldn't get ...

They also take light cut to the face in Atenveldt, something to remember when visiting. Artemisia is the same, light thrust to the face and lighter hit to the face is considered a kill, since by SCA standards we are supposedly wearing open faced helms :) Max Max has the right of it. By kingdom stan...

You know, there's not a whole lot of difference between psychic and psycho . Actually the finger gauntlet thing worked out so well I figured the mail was worth a shot in case this was some kind of magic genie for Ingvarr thread. Obviously isn't though. I've been wondering lately if it might be econo...

I would guess that there would be groups aplenty in the Dallas area which is right on the edge of your range. <offtopic>Do me a favor. There's a place called Papa's in Bosier City. Just curious. Back when I bought the elbow cops from you, you said that when you got back to being able to pound steel you could make me a pair of ultra-low profile elbows. Would it be possible to do some rotating vambrace arms with low profile fanless cops for some uber-flexible uber-stealth crunch...

I'm not sure if they're as large or as good an overall resource as the Armour Archive, but these guys always talk like they know about relics.Cat wrote:Anyone know of any groups like this one (the AA) that know a few things about relics? If so, they may be interested in some of his listings.

I'm guessing Ibn Fadlan stopped for some curry on his way to hang out with the Rus and picked the Buddha up in a gift shop. After the Rus destroyed the tribe of neanderthal Grendels he gave it to the Rus to remind them to calmly not share cleaning vessels among themselves. One of the Rus regifted it...

There was A buddha statue found, not multiples of them. It is IIRC believed to be northern Indian in origin, not Chinese and all it definitively shows is that a Swede had contact with someone who had contact with India (although the chain of someones could be longer or shorter). Well there are finds...

Funky shield bosses
I'm trying to find someone who might be interested in making some different than usual bosses. They are basically a 7" diameter deepish boss with an attached handle and a double flange. I am attaching a quick sketch that I did that is hopefully fairly clear. I will want one or two in the next f...

Review Torvaldr - Armour and more
At Estrella, I picked up my gorget as well as one I got made for my nephew from Torvaldr. The quality and general awesomeness are what I expected based on my Torvaldr gauntlets. The fit is even better. I've never had a gorget on that didn't make me feel like I was being choked until this one. There ...
