I would be interested in seeing pictures. I'm trying to come up with a time occupier since it looks like 7-8 months until I fight again. Was thinking of doing an A&S project on Danelaw style Viking fishing techniques. Some lures, hooks, and line, a fish trap, a net (or maybe I'll scrap the A&S and o...

Ny Björn, Is there any written documentation on either of these lures? Not just where they were found but probable construction techniques. Everyone, Opinions on how these were probably made would be appreciated. Might they have been cast or is it more likely that they were formed from flat stock? ...

Based on what I found pricewise after asking the question, you were right in doing so. I knew it was expensive but daaaaamn! I've got a guy here locally that I was talking about lamellar with last fighter practice who is interested in rectangulr pieces like this. I'm sure that he will be interested ...

Thanks John, payment recieved, transfer pending. I'll try to get it out before next Friday It's none of my business but that seems pretty crappy to me. He bought it as a gift for his son. Given the time of year, I would presume a Christmas gift. He paid you promptly, and you are going to "try" to s...

You're making an army of robot ninjas aren't you? I can neither confirm nor deny that, but hypothetically, if that were the case, then the "list of people who need to be acted upon to maintain the secrecy of the project" just became populated. Thomas, same theory here from What I can find although ...

I really like the idea of doing it as a ladder tourney personally. Being at the bottom end of the skill level currently, my tournamet enthusiasm might be tough to keep up if I just walk out, get whacked, and am eliminated quickly every month. With the ladder system though, I would constantly have go...

Thanks guys. Sounds like the initial tooling for MIM is pretty cost prohibitive for me at this time. I'm in no way married to the idea of stainless although I would like the look of it. Even considered shiny plated plastic briefly but it's lighter and far cheesier than I want. Possibly plating on so...

After leaving the gaming table, one of his kids spent all his time staring mindlessly at his video game console So D&D is a right and proper way to spend time and console/PC gaming isn't. Sounds like you have the same biases as your family member, just with different targets. Console gaming is as v...

Injection Molded Steel
Not an armour question per se but does anyone have any experience with injection molded metals in general, stainless in particular. I know the basic process. What I am mostly interested in right now is, doe injection molded stainless for the most part look like forged stainless? Can anyone give me a...

My ancestors in Scotland were not mud covered fur wearing cave men during the middle ages as so often is depicted in movies like Highlander. I never meant to imply that was the case. 14th Century as a whole is pretty obscure to me on its own, much less any specific region during the 14th. I wasn't ...
